DescriptionSUMMARY...In this role you will be responsible for developing and releasing installation and setup procedures and other necessary documentation to assist in the development and qualification of our current and new products. Additionally - you will also be responsible for engineering lab - alpha and beta site support. As a member of the systems engineering group - (s)he will be responsible for developing - qualifying - and releasing new products for our current and next gen product lines.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: System level expert focused on product support for new product development. Interaction with Hardware - Electrical - Controls - Process - and Software engineering teams to become the system level expert on new products being developed. Provides guidance to engineering during the design phase of new products on key customer requirements and needs. Including PM service tasks - design for service - design for manufacturability - etc. Owns first build and test of the new product in the development lab - working closely with engineering teams providing real time feedback of issues and recommends solutions. Develops procedures and documents best known methods for service - preventive - and corrective maintenance tasks Owns First in Fab (Alpha or Beta) customer shipments. Drives customer fab readiness (facilities set up) - installation and start up through production qualification. Detailed Reporting of field issues for new products in the field Drives and owns customer issues on new products during the Alpha build and test phase as well as during beta testing at customer sites. Develops critical spares parts lists for new products - ensures initial stocking levels are set and ready for new product shipments Ensure legacy corrective actions and Lessons Learned are captured in New Products design intent. Contribute to the FMECA process. Develop new procedures and Best-Known Methods (BKMs) to service new products. Participate in Engineering Design Reviews Partner with Quality & Reliability groups to review and address Top Field Issues Participate in or own CAPA process. Conduct or facilitate Failure Analysis (FA) if needed Drive resolution of key issues with Engineering. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - M.S. preferred 5+ Yrs. Experience in Semiconductor or Similar Capital Equipment Product Development experience with 5+ yrs. vacuum equipment experienceSKILLS AND ABILITIES: Reliability Testing/Reliability Test Plan Development (DoD - Other) Automation & Control-Systems Experience Multidisciplinary - complex product experience Ability to develop new products from concept through production Demonstrated ability to be part of a small team with aggressive goals. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced - dynamic environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Good organizational - communication - and prioritization skills. Working knowledge of SEMI S2 - S8 - F47 etc. - CE Experience in developing technical reports and present technical material. Ability to manage moderately sized engineering projects Experience working with contract engineering services a plus Has the ability to analyze - model and solve interdisciplinary system problems. Microsoft Office - Microsoft Project - and Microsoft PowerPoint. Strong time management skills. Excellent communications skills. Good commons sense and creative problem-solving skills. Technical competency and aptitude for systems thinking. Ability to adapt to many environments - handle many and different responsibilities and interact with a diverse group of individuals. Team Orientation/Team-Player Ability to travel (up to 50%) to customer and/or vendor sitesWORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The normal work environment is typical of a business office - manufacturing operation - with clean room and laboratory facility. The incumbent is routinely required to sit - stand - walk - stoop - kneel - touch - see - and hear - and may be required to lift or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the regular duties of the position - the incumbent may be exposed to moving mechanical parts - risk of electrical shock - and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
